From the energy point of view, pain is a conflict of energies. Pain is a blockage on energy, The energy from the source wants to feed certain parts of our bodies and this energetic blockage does not allow it, it stopping, blocking the normal healing flow of energy. The result is pain.
There are several non-invasive forms of energy medicine or energy healing used for pain management.
In Acupuncture the same principle is thought, there fore Acupuncture removes the energy blockage and then pain subsides or is completely eliminated.
Some energy healers have or develop the sensitivity to feel energetic blockages from clients, using their hands as an energetic sensor.
When energy healers “scan” the body on clients, by moving their hands about 3 to 12 inches above, they can feel the very distinctive tingling sensation of an energy blockage.
Some times the energy healer can feel that blockage as an intense heat coming from the affected area or from the main chakras, the 7 main energy centers that feed our body and internal organs with the living energy (Reiki) or bio-energy. Then the energy healing practitioner place her/his hands over that area where the energetic blockage was felt with the intention to dissolve it or for the highest good of the client.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that centers on the manipulation of ki, the Japanese version of chi. Rei means spirit in Japanese, so reiki literally means spirit life force.
The belief in vitalism is still strong in China, India, Africa, and Japan. Each believes that the universe is full of some sort of vital energy that cannot be detected by any scientific instruments, but which can be felt and controlled, often by special people who learn the tricks of the trade.
Reiki energy healing has been use for pain management for over 5 decades. There are other forms of energy healing that also effective for pain management. Acupuncture is an even older form of energy healing used in pain management.
